IVEAGH UNITED COME BACK EMPTY HANDED AWAY TO KILROOT
After Joe Doh put Iveagh ahead Kilroot fought back well to take all three points on Sat. The game only really heated up in the 2nd half after a pretty dull first 45 minutes. Joe put the visitors ahead via hard work in the Iveagh midfield. Kilroot equalised shortly after and scored 2 in the last ten to finish off the game.
IVEAGH UNITED RESERVES SECURED ALL 3 POINTS AWAY TO TEMPLE
Iveagh Reserves started the game very well against Temple and should have been a few up before Temple tested big Mervy in goals. Charlie Nugent, Young Porky, and Paddy Mac came close early on but it was Charlie Nugent who broke the deadlock with a cool headed goal from a great cross. Iveagh continued to press for goals but nearly got caught on the counter attack on a few occasions... big Mervy was at hand to keep them out. Iveagh where relentless in the second half and got what they deserved via snap-shot finish by man-of-the-match Conor Vaughan. It'll be Conor's last game this season for Iveagh as he is going under the knife in donating his kidney to his brother, fair play to him and wish him a speedy recovery. Young Porky and The Monk created chance after chance but couldn't find the back of the net.
